Father's Day Tribute - Part 2

It's hard to imagine a better father than Papa was to our four children. Though he "walked softly and carried a big stick", he was also very tender and loving. If Papa was anything, however, he was FUN! The kids and I often reminisce about the nightly "wars" in our home. No, not real fighting. Daffodil Hill is a peaceful place for the most part. The battles here generally involved water guns, rubber bands, shaving cream, and just about anything else that might be handy for pulling a prank or chasing Daddy around the house. Yes, inside! The observant reader may even notice in the pictures below that one memorable escapade involved sweet potatoes that just happened to be sitting on the stove. Of course, Papa and his partner in crime cleaned up their own mess. Though I didn't often participate in the crazy schemes that took place on a regular basis, I tolerated the messes pretty well as long as no damage was done and the perpetrators cleaned up after themselves. They apparently thought it was worth the hassle. Now that Papa is gone, there's no doubt about it. We all have some fantastic memories of the best dad in the world!

How fun! I love the sweet potatoes and shaving cream fight pics! Yes, you are blessed with priceless memories. Fun at home is a fabulous heritage we give our kids.
Oh, got my blog back up again. Wasn't able to restore everything but it'll do for now.

Daff....Once again....beautiful, sweet and loving! God Bless your dearest Papa! The true measure of a person's fun quotient is if you can still laugh after he is gone. Looks like he ranks up there....he not only bestowed a legacy of laughter in your home and heart, he also has your blog readers laughing! Next time there's thunder....it will leave me wondering....what the heck are they laughing about so hard???

Live, Love, Laugh!
